I'm reading it right now.❤
I just finished watching Midnight in Paris because of this video. Really great film! Makes me want to grab A Moveable Feast, obviously keeping in mind that the movie's portrayal of Hemingway is naturally skewed by a fan of his book.
The length? That looks pretty average for length. Try Infinite Jest for length
great great books
Don Quixote published at start of the 17th century, while Tale of Two Cities was published in the mid 19th. TBH, for modern audiences, Don Quixote is boring as watching paint dry.
Is that Jacob Rees Mogg on the cover? 😂
The Old Man And The Sea, even shorter
The way you hold books makes me feel like you're threatening me. Don't threaten me with a good time
My ex-dad apparently used the concepts in the book for his personal life. Now he's no longer my dad and he's a persona non grata asshat as far as our household is concerned.
Get that scarlet letter shit out of here. And As I Lay Dying is a titan of American lit
i keep hearing about this book but i swear it send me into a reading slump 😬 i don’t know if it was the narrator’s voice on audible or what but i couldn’t even finish it
your channel is very underrated
@williampdozier Bro could u make a video about how you got into reading? You seem like a friendly guy who suddenly got passionate about books Could you recount your journey towards that? Most of your followers and I, I assume, are very interested in that? Maybe name the first few books that got you into reading?
It is a great read. Better is Grapes of Wrath.
I kept waiting for the don bite it
I almost DNF it, it didn't not enjoy this book sorry
Denis Johnson was reading this trilogy when he wrote Train Dreams. Definitely worth a read.
Any tips for reading ? Its really hot where i am and i dontbhave the energy 😢
ATPH and the Crossing are wonderful but similar to Godfather 3 in the godfather trilogy, Cities of the Plain doesn't measure up.
“It was the best of times, it was the best of times wait that’s good. Did I say that out loud?” -The Stoner
I really enjoyed Don Quixote
Read It. It touched me!
Have you ever read M.R. Carey - Infinity Gate?
Truth!
Don Quixote is the frist novel ever written, so yeah, it's had a lot more years to sell.
I was hoping you didn’t say donna tartt… 😅
So mainly it was thinking slow for you...
I promise I'm not commenting to be 'that guy' but this was a DNF for me. I'm the type to fight through, even I don't like it, but I just couldn't here. I wanted so badly to like it but if nothing else, it has helped me identify books that I do enjoy and steer towards those 😅
Me too
Read it last year, nothing extraordinary in the novel…. Stoner and his life is so negative and sad that I saw it reflecting on me. Just glad I finished the book…
This is a fantastic novel and reading it is like watching a magic trick. Great video William
Just bought it the other day. Excited to read it
Loved this book!!!
Recently started it thank is for recommending again bro
Great book. Read Augustus next, it’s a Great American Novel, for sure.
Just started this yesterday.
Nice hat! Big Fish is amazing
Favorite of all time!
love love east of eden
love them both. great journeys
I would take a breath before reading Don Quixote. You really need some contextual knowledge of the time it was written to get anything from it. Otherwise you’ll likely give up on it as it’ll just be a meandering, voluminous slog.
It’s like reading a riddle. I think people who think they’re cool like to say how much they love this book.
The Bible?
I just could not get through Don Quixote. You need to read like five other historical books before you read it to get the context of anything.
Wouldn't it be the bible
Dude could tell it was Cormac McCarthy from those illustrious eye brows!!! 😅😅😅 Love McCarthy too!!
The best 200 pages I've ever read
What are some good books to read from the male perspective?
500 pages is long to people? I know the average book is 300 or so but 500 isn’t that much bigger really
I've read War and Peace, Dune, LOTR, IT and The Pillars of the Earth. No book is ever going to be too long...
